In the studio 1997 Franz Mayer´sche Hofkunst- anstalt, München Ada Isensee lives  as a free paintress in Buoch. Her work concentrates on: Stained glass  for architecture Stained glass  as autonomous panel Drawing Etching Plumbing the mental  and spiritual dimensions of human existence with the means of symbols is the essence of Ada Isensee´s creative power. Visionary landscape, plants and animals, mythological and legendary figures, and forever the  human countenance form the inventory of her graphic work, drawing and glass pictures. Her work was expanding the last twenty years by a series of architectural glass designs. Glass is the medium  she had become profoundly familiar with through a productive analysis  of the work of her husband, Hans-Gottfried von Stockhausen. Employing the duality of light and matter inherent in glass, she creates  this sensation of a hovering between realities, an abstractness that nevertheless prerequires a manual virtuosity to formulate reflection, imagination and  symbolism in pictures meaningfully. Ada Isensee´s pictures portray man´s existence midst brightness  and gloom, midst cosmic light and terrestrial night.
